OUR LATEST MISSION
Head Genius Heads Back to Space Center Houston!
Thanks to Space Center Houston and Bastion Technologies this teacher had the experience of a lifetime! Our SEEC Crew were invited to help beta test and develop a real-world STEM experience called, Space Survival University. This program is being developed in efforts to impact our future STEM workforce.
As if working with some of the top earth and space science educators, and participating in some amazing STEM challenges (Yes... there was liquid nitrogen involved...) wasn't enough, this girl got to take a dip in Johnson Space Center's Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL). I know... pinch me!!! Now, when I say "dip" I am being literal. Bastion Technologies had set up a water survival course during which we learned about how to survive a water emergency. This included proper technique for jumping off high places into the water, entering and exiting a life raft, as well as being submerged in a "helicopter" and having to unbuckle and escape through a window... I survived... and I have the t-shirt to prove it! |
